'SAWA' is an experimental collaboration between Silas Price and Nico Tracy (ANGELSBREATH) that showcases their individual crafts and how those sound when they merge. The construction of the piece began with a foundation lain by Silas that was later added to by Nico. Silas is an enthusiastic and tasteful digital synthesizer designer, taking time to not only craft the sounds of his synthesizers but also the pieces he creates, whereas Nico is an elegant and able analogue synth improviser, relying on experience with their favorite devices and real-time strategy and feel to record in single takes. Both the mono and stereo versions of the recording shows how these two composers'/performers' direction interweave together at times and how even unintentionally at times the synthesizers mimic each other, communicate back and forth, or take turns supporting each other. The mono version showcases how the two voices interweave together more tightly whereas the stereo version grabs it's hooks into each side of the brain and causes the listener to put one foot in each composer's shoe.
